The Truth About Why I Don’t Use Foundation

Today I am going to talk about why I don’t use foundation, CC and BB cream most of the time. However, there are some important occasions like weddings and new year celebrations and I will still have foundation on and go with the full makeup look.  To be honest, I felt like posting this post after I saw Michelle Phan’s post on how she has not used foundation for over a year. I always thought I was the only one who does that. What I normally use are eyebrow pencil, eye primer, eye shadow, mascara, eyeliner, eyelash curler and lipstick. That’s it!  I avoid foundation, blusher, bronzer and sunblock because I always get bad skin after after removing my makeup. I will start to have a few pimples and my skin will be less smooth than what it used to be. It is only recently I started using sunblock (not bb or cc cream) and yes, my face now has small tiny bumps and 1-2 pimples. Why did I start using sunblock? A few weeks ago, I realised that I am starting to have a few dark spots and I was afraid that it was because of me not wearing sunblock and going under the sun often. Do I get tempted to use foundation? Of course! Every single freaking time! I will go to Sephora looking at all the foundations hoping that I can put them on with bronzers and blushers. After watching YouTube videos and seeing all those beauty gurus using different foundations and showing how they contour their face, that tempted me too! However, I must admit that I am not very sure if it is because of my skin care routine or I have sensitive skin.   But yes, this a honest post and I really hope you guys can share and give me advice. I will appreciate it! I really look forward to the time Michelle will reveal her skin care as well!
